About Me

In 2005 I enrolled at UWA, where I studied landscape architecture and learnt the fundamentals of garden and outdoor design.

I began labouring for a Melbourne landscape company in 2008. Fortunately a found myself at a great company with an enthusiastic and passionate boss. We built both classic and modern style gardens around the Toorak area . Here I discovered my passion for construction. I moved away from design preferring outdoor work and learning construction processes.

In 2011 I returned to the UK and over the following years worked my way from a labourer to site supervisor, eventually managing jobs for two prestigious London landscape firms- Randall Sidley and Bowles & Wyer. Along the way I have worked alongside some great pavers, stonemasons and carpenters.

During my time working at both companies, I was asked to join their build teams for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. These gardens showcase the best and latest in garden design and construction. Randall Sidley's 2016 Smart Garden, for which we won a silver guild and B&W's 2021 Florence Nightingale garden- also awarded a silver guild. I later headed up the B&W rebuild of their prize winning garden at St Thomas' hospital in central London.

During the last 20 years I have worked with top garden designers and landscapers in all aspects of outdoor construction. I returned home to Western Australia in 2024 and in 2025 I started Quilla Landscapes in Margaret River. I pride myself on highly crafted workmanship, creating functional spaces and bringing clients ideas to life.
